Janice is being congratulated by the Honourable Percy Paris, Nova Scotia Minister of Tourism, Culture and Heritage after the announcement of the purchase of her painting, Passage Thru Time, by Labatt’s Breweries. At the reception in Elmsdale, celebrating the Shubenacadie Art Connection, it was announced that Labatt’s had purchased the painting, which depicts Lock 5 of the Shubenacadie Canal, and was dedicating the painting “In Memory of Alexander Keith’s Contribution to the Construction of the Shubenacadie Canal.” The painting has been donated by Labatt’s to the Shubenacadie Canal Commission, and will be on permanent display at the Fairbanks Interpretive Centre, Dartmouth, NS.
